What to do in the summertime...

Summer in the Methow…Perhaps our favorite words in the English language…there are so many things to do, we couldn't even begin to tell you all of them, but here are a few of our favorites. If you want to stay right in Mazama, you can just take long walks around the ranch, swim in one of our favorite swimming holes across the street and then go have a cookie or a Husky ice cream at the Mazama Store. If you need a little more challenge, then hike one of the many beautiful trails like Maple Pass, Cutthroat Lake or hike up to see wild Bill Austin at the Goat Peak fire look out tower which is very entertaining. The list goes on and on so please explore our exceptional region and have one of our many outfitters guide you around our backyard.

Music
Of course, summer is the season of music here in the Methow, and you may want to plan your trip around one of our outstanding music festivals… the Methow Music Festival, the Winthrop Rhythm and Blues Festival, the Oldtime Fiddlers Contest, or more informal, the 49er Days Street Dance. For tickets to most of these events, visit Winthrop Tickets.
